Angelina was elated but she wasn’t finished yet.

Steadily, she brought the spinning hoop back down her arms and to her waist. She slowed her hips a little and carefully let the spinning hoop move down to her hips, her knees and all the way to her ankles.

For one brief moment the hoop slowed and Angelina thought she might lose it, but she gritted her teeth and swung faster and slowly the hoop began to move back up.

As soon as the hoop was spinning around her waist again, Angelina lifted her arms in the air in a sign of victory and the crowd roared.

They loved Angelina - no-one else had done anything so clever and Angelina was so relieved to have done well. Now she just had to keep her fingers crossed and hope she would win.
